About the Authority
The Coliseum Authority is a joint powers agency established by the City of Oakland and the County of Alameda to finance improvements to the Coliseum Complex and to manage the Coliseum Complex on behalf of the City and the County. It is governed by a Board Commissioners that meets monthly.
The Coliseum Authority contracts with ASM Global to operate the Coliseum Complex. On behalf of the Coliseum Authority, ASM Global books events at the Complex, provides game day operations for the Raiders, maintains the Complex and manages the construction or installation of improvements to the Complex under and as provided in a contract with the Coliseum Authority. ASM Global employs the workers at the Coliseum Complex.
The Coliseum contracts with Levy Restaurants to provide food and beverage service at Oakland Arena and with Oakland Athletics to provide food and beverage service at the Stadium. Each of those entities is responsible for hiring food and beverage service workers.
The Oakland Alameda County Coliseum Complex is a 120-acre sports and entertainment complex located adjacent to the Interstate 880 Freeway in Oakland, California between 66th Ave and Hegenberger Rd.
The Complex includes Oakland Arena, and RingCentral Coliseum. These facilities are served by an approximately 10,000-space parking lot.
Oakland Arena is an indoor arena seating up to approximately 19,000 patrons. It hosts many concerts, family shows (such as ice shows and the circus) and other sporting events. It contains three clubs and 72 luxury suites.
RingCentral Coliseum is an outdoor stadium seating up to 63,000 patrons. It is the home of the Oakland Athletics Major League Baseball team and the Oakland Raiders National Football League team. It also hosts other sporting events such as soccer, motorsports and concerts. The Coliseum contains 2 clubs and 147 luxury suites.
