Over 300 Booster Seats and 500 Bicycle Helmets Donated to Alameda County Families

The AEG Oakland Community Foundation, in partnership with the Alameda County Emergency Medical Services Agency, proudly hosted Safe Kids Day on July 19 at the Oakland Arena and Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum complex. This impactful annual event brought together over 1,500 families from across Oakland and Alameda County to access essential safety resources and education.

Families received items including diapers, more than 300 booster seats, and over 500 bicycle helmets—tools that directly support child safety. In addition to these valuable giveaways, attendees had the chance to connect with over 65 community organizations and non-profits. These partners offered hands-on health education, interactive demonstrations, and injury prevention activities tailored for children and their families.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated community partners and generous sponsors, whose unwavering support made Safe Kids Day 2025 a tremendous success. This year’s event stood as a powerful testament to our shared commitment to promoting child safety and enhancing the well-being of families across our community.
